Jake & Steven Perkins

This past March we went to see a band at one of our local bars and Jake got to meet Steven Perkins, drummer for Jane's Addiction, who was playing in the band, "Banyon". We just got the picture from a friend who had his camera there. Way cool!!

Happy 7th Birthday Baxter!!

Baxter turned 7 on May 5th (Cinco de Mayo) so we had a doggie birthday party for him. He loved his "cake/treat plate". He was such a good dog on our vacation and he really loves the motorhome. After kenneling him at the caverns, he didn't want to ever get off his "couch". Most of the time he was inside while we sat out by the fire.

New Mexico Vacation - Cinco de Mayo

We were in Alburquerque for Cinco de Mayo and celebrated by having lunch, did some shopping and saw some dancers. We were in the Old Town area and actually ran into a friend from Summit County. Small world. Old Town Shops

New Mexico Vacation - Carslsbad Caverns

Here are some pictures from Carlsad Caverns National Park. This is why we went to New Mexico. They are the largest underground caves in the world. They are about 700 feet underground. Some of our pics are hard to see but you can check out great pics at www.nps.gov/cave/ . They are sooooooooo cool!
Park Entrance

Jake looking down into the cave's natural entrace. It was a hour hike down into the caves.... If you don't want to walk in there is an elevator that takes you right down into the big rooms below.

Kim in one of the tunnels during the hike down.

Looking up at the natural entrance.

A chandelier of stalagtites.

They meet after billions of years....

It looked like a movie set.....
